Visual Values

Visual Values helps students compare a fraction and a decimal by drawing a simple model before choosing the correct comparison symbol. Students may use fraction bars, circles, hundred grids, or other visual representations, then write <, >, or = and explain their reasoning. The worksheet strengthens visual fraction models, decimal models, equivalent values, comparison, mathematical explanation, and number sense.
