Decimal Trio

Decimal Trio helps students see that the same decimal can be written in three different ways: standard form, expanded form, and word form. Students complete the missing representations in a three-column chart, moving back and forth among forms such as 6.48, 6 + 0.4 + 0.08, and “six and forty-eight hundredths.” The worksheet strengthens decimal place value, expanded notation, word form, standard form, number naming, and flexible number representation.
