Context Clue Detectives

Students act as “detectives” searching for context clues that hint at what will happen next in a story. They read a short passage and highlight or underline at least three textual clues before completing a chart explaining how each clue supports their prediction. The exercise concludes with a written paragraph predicting the next event. This activity enhances comprehension by teaching students to base predictions on specific textual evidence.
