Persuasive Writing

In this worksheet, students write a persuasive paragraph either defending or criticizing the Boston Tea Party. Sentence starters help them structure their writing by forming a clear claim, providing at least two supporting reasons, and concluding with a strong final statement. Students must use logical reasoning and historical understanding to argue their position effectively. This activity strengthens argumentative writing skills and deepens students’ understanding of colonial motivations and political protest. Learners practice organizing ideas, supporting claims, and writing with clarity and purpose.
