Attic Mystery
Students read a narrative passage about Maya discovering a mysterious lantern in her grandmother’s attic. They then complete a plot diagramming activity by breaking the story into its five major parts: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. To complete the task, students must use text evidence and analyze which events belong in each stage of the plot. This worksheet strengthens understanding of narrative structure and helps students organize story elements effectively. It also reinforces comprehension of cause-and-effect relationships within fictional texts.
