Fallacy Finder

Students read a short passage containing logical fallacies and identify examples of hasty generalization, slippery slope, and false cause. They then respond to reflection questions analyzing which fallacy most weakens the author’s credibility and why. The worksheet trains learners to detect flawed reasoning commonly found in persuasive writing. Students also consider how the argument could be rewritten more logically. Finally, they craft their own sentence containing a fallacy and label it, helping reinforce understanding through practice. This builds strong analytical reading and reasoning skills.
