High-Level Questioning

Students read a passage and generate two to three high-level questions that cannot be answered with simple facts. These questions must require explanation, interpretation, or deeper reasoning. After writing the questions, students choose one to answer using evidence from the passage. This worksheet strengthens critical inquiry skills and teaches students how to engage with text beyond basic comprehension.
