Triple-Read Analysis

Students read the same passage three times with different purposes: first for plot, second for language, and third for theme. After each read, they answer targeted questions that build their understanding of events, emotional tone, imagery, and the passage’s larger message. This multi-layer close reading process helps students see how meaning develops across multiple levels. The activity encourages deeper engagement with text, promotes careful observation, and strengthens students’ ability to synthesize their insights.
