Problem-Solution Chart
This worksheet asks students to read a summary of Jack and the Beanstalk and focus on Jack’s main problem and how he solves it. Students complete a chart identifying the character, the problem, the solution, and the outcome. They then write a short reflection about the lesson Jack learns by overcoming his challenge. The activity teaches students how to identify problem-solution structure within narratives and encourages them to think critically about the message communicated through character actions. It also strengthens comprehension and story analysis skills.
