Bridge of Fears
Students read a passage about Daniel confronting his fear while crossing an old wooden bridge. They identify internal conflicts (thoughts, emotions, fears) and external conflicts (environmental challenges, outside forces) shown in the story. Students support each example with text evidence and evaluate which conflict had a greater influence on the plot. The activity builds skills in distinguishing conflict types and understanding how obstacles shape character development.
