Object’s Tale
This creative writing worksheet invites students to stretch their imagination by telling a story from the first-person point of view of an everyday object-such as a backpack, pencil, or water bottle. Students begin by choosing an object and brainstorming details about its “life,” daily experiences, and surroundings. They then write a narrative using consistent first-person pronouns to describe what the object sees, feels, or goes through during a typical day.
By adopting an unexpected narrator, students practice perspective-taking while strengthening voice and description.
