Think or React

This worksheet teaches students to distinguish between self-regulated responses and impulsive reactions in everyday social and school situations. Learners read each scenario along with the character’s response, then decide whether the person is “Responding” (using calm choices, patience, or problem-solving) or “Reacting” (acting quickly out of anger, frustration, or stress). The activity encourages students to slow down, reflect, and recognize how different responses affect communication and relationships. By analyzing examples across school, work, and friendships, students build awareness of emotional triggers and begin practicing healthier behavioral patterns. This worksheet strengthens decision-making, emotional literacy, and impulse control.
