Presidential Decision Debate

In this persuasive writing worksheet, students examine one of three major presidential decisions-the Emancipation Proclamation, the New Deal, or the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Learners write arguments for and against the chosen decision and then compose a final persuasive paragraph stating their opinion. The task builds analytical thinking, historical understanding, and argumentative writing skills while helping students evaluate leadership choices and their lasting impact.
