Place Value Power-Up

Place Value Power-Up helps students understand how a digit’s value changes when it moves one place to the left or one place to the right. Students first practice making values 10 times greater, then 10 times smaller, and finally compare the same digit across several numbers to find where it has the greatest or least value. The worksheet strengthens whole-number place value, powers of ten, digit value, multiplication and division by 10, and number comparison. It is especially useful for students in grades 4-5 who need to understand the pattern behind the base-ten system instead of simply memorizing place names.
