Opinion Support Builder
This worksheet guides students in strengthening opinions by pairing them with relevant, logical facts. Learners examine several opinion statements and supply one to two supportive facts for each. In the second part, students flip the task by choosing one opinion and writing a fact someone might use to argue against it. This helps students recognize that opinions can be reinforced or challenged depending on the evidence used. The activity builds persuasive writing skills and teaches the importance of fact selection in argumentation. It also reinforces the distinction between opinion formation and factual support.
