Writing Equations from Models

This worksheet requires students to interpret area models and write the corresponding multiplication equations. Each model is divided into equal-sized units, and students must determine the factors represented by the number of rows and columns. They then write the complete multiplication equation and compute the product. This activity helps students understand area as a representation of multiplication and reinforces rectangular array concepts. It also strengthens students’ ability to transition between visual models and numerical expressions.
