Freedom Vocabulary

This worksheet asks students to match ten vocabulary words connected to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s fight for justice-such as equality, segregation, protest, justice, and civil rights-to their correct definitions. Students must read each term carefully, think about its historical and modern meaning, and write the matching letter next to the word. The activity strengthens students’ vocabulary skills, promotes understanding of key Civil Rights concepts, and encourages reflection on how the terms relate to fairness and justice today. It also supports comprehension of social justice language and connects directly to Dr. King’s work.
