Global Politeness

This worksheet teaches students how manners and polite behaviors differ across cultures while highlighting the universal purpose of showing respect. Students read a nonfiction passage describing how greetings, gestures, and customs vary in Japan, the United States, the Middle East, and parts of Europe.

They then answer comprehension and reflection questions that help them compare cultural practices, identify shared values, and understand how respecting differences supports positive relationships.
