Conversation Corrections

Students read everyday dialogues containing incorrect uses of beside and besides. Their task is to rewrite each conversation correctly while maintaining natural flow and meaning. This activity strengthens students’ editing abilities and reinforces understanding of word function: beside indicating physical location, and besides meaning “other than” or “in addition to.” By working with conversational language, learners practice applying grammar rules in realistic communication.
