Context Choice Answer Key
Students read each sentence and decide which preposition-behind or in back of-fits best based on the tone and where the sentence would likely appear: a speech, an email, or an academic essay. Learners write F for behind (formal/professional tone) and IBO for in back of (casual/conversational tone). This activity helps students identify tone, audience, and purpose while strengthening precise language use. It also reinforces understanding of when informal phrasing is appropriate and when more formal vocabulary is required. Students develop stronger editing judgment and awareness of register in writing.
