Formulating Questions

In this worksheet, students read a short passage about Maya walking her brother to school. After reading, they write five questions of their own using guiding question words such as who, what, when, why, and how. This activity encourages students to think critically about the text and practice generating clear, purposeful questions. By creating their own questions, students learn to focus on important story elements and deepen their comprehension. It also improves their ability to communicate curiosity and engage with text meaningfully.
