Writing Deep Questions

Students read a passage about Amina, a young girl who creates an irrigation system to help her village. After reading, students write six questions that include literal, inferential, and evaluative types. They must label each question type after writing it, reinforcing understanding of varied questioning purposes. This worksheet develops higher-order thinking by encouraging students to craft questions that explore facts, interpretations, and personal judgments.
