Topic Redirectors
Students read short dialogue examples in which a person brings up an off-topic or overly personal subject. They choose the best response that kindly redirects the conversation to something more appropriate. This activity helps students practice empathy, tact, and respectful communication. It teaches them how to maintain healthy boundaries without being rude, and how to guide conversations back to suitable topics. By analyzing multiple-choice options, students strengthen their decision-making, reading comprehension, and understanding of social appropriateness in conversations.
