Opinion Clue Explorer

Students explore a set of twelve sentences and identify hidden opinion clue words such as “best,” “should,” “believe,” or “probably.” By circling or underlining these words, learners uncover the language patterns that signal subjective viewpoints. Many sentences contain more than one clue, encouraging close reading and attention to linguistic detail. The activity builds vocabulary awareness by showing how certain words frame statements as beliefs rather than facts. A bonus challenge invites students to write their own original opinion sentences using selected clue words. This deepens understanding through application and reinforces expressive writing skills.
