Two Versions Write-Up
Students write two short paragraphs describing the same scene-one in an informal, conversational tone using in back of and one in a formal tone using behind. After writing, they explain which version fits better for a school essay and why. This task enhances understanding of writing purpose, tone, and audience. It also gives students practice in adjusting vocabulary to produce different effects. By comparing their versions, learners deepen their awareness of how language impacts clarity and professionalism.
