Alone and Lonely Talk
Students read short lines of dialogue in which a character may incorrectly use alone or lonely. Their task is to rewrite the line using the correct word or identify it as correct if no change is needed. This strengthens students’ understanding of vocabulary nuances and reinforces grammatical accuracy in conversational language. The editing component supports revision skills and helps learners practice clear and meaningful expression. By analyzing dialogue, students also develop awareness of emotional communication through word choice.
