Forces Matching
In this worksheet, students match eight erosion events to the force most likely causing them, using a letter-to-number system. Events include riverbank collapse, sand dune movement, glacial carving, hillside soil loss, wave-shaped cliffs, mudslides, alluvial fan deposits, and dust storms. Students must identify whether the driver is wind, water, glaciers, gravity, earthquakes, flooding, ocean waves, or human vegetation removal. This strengthens understanding of erosion agents and how each shapes land differently. The bonus challenge asks students to explain one natural and one human-influenced cause in a sentence each, reinforcing logic. The activity builds strong cause-and-effect awareness in Earth systems.
