Bug Jar Sorting

Students use tweezers to gently pick up pretend bugs and place each into its correct jar: red ladybugs go in the red jar, and yellow bees go in the yellow jar. This activity promotes color sorting and strengthens fine motor precision as learners carefully place each bug into the outlined container. As students name the bug color aloud, they reinforce language and descriptive vocabulary skills. The worksheet encourages attentiveness and controlled movement to prevent objects from slipping. Learners also practice counting and expressive language as they report how many bugs they caught.
