Treasure Chest Sorting

Students use tweezers to move small shiny items such as beads or pretend gems into the treasure chests. By picking up one item at a time and placing it inside a chest, learners develop controlled, precise finger movements. The treasure theme adds playfulness while reinforcing careful handling so no “treasures” fall out. After filling both chests, students count how many items are inside each one, supporting early math and comparison skills. This activity strengthens fine motor coordination, encourages counting, and promotes attention to detail.
