Real Fact or Fake AI?

Students read pairs of statements-one real fact and one AI-fabricated claim-and determine which is accurate. They look for red flags such as exaggerated numbers, implausible details, clichés, or contradictions with known scientific or historical truths. After choosing, they write a brief explanation of how they figured it out. This activity trains students to evaluate information critically, especially when AI confidently presents false facts. It strengthens media-literacy skills and encourages skepticism toward overly polished or unusual claims.
