News or Noise
Students read short news snippets and decide whether each is credible “news” or AI-generated “noise” designed to sound dramatic or misleading. They underline suspicious details such as exaggeration, vague statistics, hype-based language, or red-flag phrasing. Students then record their classification and explain their reasoning. This encourages them to think critically about what makes information trustworthy and how AI can generate text that sounds like news but lacks real evidence. The reflection question builds media-literacy awareness by asking students to identify warning signs of unreliable content.
