Human or Bot?

Students act as detectives, reading short passages and deciding whether each was written by a human or generated by AI. They underline clues-such as repetitive wording, overly formal tone, vague descriptions, or unnatural phrasing-that helped them make their judgment. This develops close-reading skills as students examine structure, voice, and style. After choosing, they write short explanations defending their conclusions. The worksheet encourages critical thinking about writing characteristics and teaches students how AI-generated content often differs from human narrative style. This builds foundational digital literacy for evaluating online text.
