Scene Builder
Students write one sentence for each of the five senses-sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch-based on a given setting, a busy pet shop. After generating the five sensory sentences, they combine them into one descriptive paragraph. This activity strengthens students’ ability to write cohesive, richly detailed scenes. It teaches how multiple sensory details can work together to create vivid imagery and support unified descriptive writing. It also helps students learn paragraph structure through synthesis of smaller components.
