Continuous Conversion

This worksheet strengthens students’ ability to convert present continuous and past continuous sentences into the past perfect continuous tense. Students rewrite each sentence to show an action already in progress before a later point in time. They also complete a mixed-challenge section that requires adding their own second clause, encouraging them to think critically about how earlier actions connect to later events. The exercise reinforces understanding of tense shifts and improves students’ precision in describing time relationships. By practicing transformations and sentence creation, students develop confidence using advanced verb structures.
