Three Voice Rewrite

Students read a short neutral scene and rewrite it three times, each from a different narrator voice: formal, humorous, and dramatic. This exercise teaches students how voice affects storytelling even when the events stay the same. By altering word choice, pacing, and sentence structure, students learn to create distinct narrative styles. This activity promotes creativity while also reinforcing understanding of how author intent guides tone. The structured format helps students compare and contrast writing styles side-by-side.
