Source Detective
In this worksheet, students explore how Microsoft Copilot identifies the type or source of written paragraphs. They input three different paragraphs-each from a unique source type-and record what Copilot guessed about each one. Students then evaluate whether Copilot’s interpretations were accurate, close, or incorrect, writing notes about what they noticed in its reasoning. Through comparison, learners analyze patterns in how AI reads text, where it performs well, and where it struggles. This helps students develop deeper insight into authorship, writing style, and the strengths and limitations of automated text analysis.
