Alternate Ending

This worksheet invites students to reimagine the ending of Don Quixote by crafting an alternate conclusion to the knight’s story. Students choose a creative direction-such as Don Quixote staying delusional, achieving real heroism, or discovering the real Dulcinea-and then write a 2-3 paragraph alternative ending. The activity encourages narrative writing, character interpretation, and thematic exploration, particularly centered on the contrast between reality and illusion. Students must consider how their new ending changes Don Quixote’s fate, Sancho Panza’s development, and the story’s overall message. This exercise enhances creativity as well as deeper text engagement.
