Viewpoint Transform
Students select one place and describe it twice, once from the perspective of an optimistic traveler and once from the viewpoint of a worried explorer. They must consider how emotions shape perception and tone. This activity teaches students how point of view affects the way a setting is described. After writing both descriptions, learners identify a clear difference in tone and list words or phrases that show the shift in perspective. This strengthens understanding of voice, mood, and narrative viewpoint. Students practice using descriptive language intentionally to reflect character attitudes.
