Consequence Mapping

This worksheet asks students to map the immediate and long-term consequences of five key decisions Raskolnikov makes throughout the novel. Using the model example, learners identify each decision, describe its short-term effects, and explain its deeper, long-term impact on characters and events. This activity encourages analytical thinking as students trace how Raskolnikov’s choices fuel his psychological unraveling and eventual confession. It also helps students better understand narrative structure and character development. The exercise promotes deep comprehension of the novel’s moral and thematic layers.
