Sorting Collective

Students sort words into two categories-collective nouns and non-collective nouns-using a provided word bank. This sorting task develops critical language analysis as learners distinguish between words representing groups and individual nouns. By categorizing terms such as “team,” “flock,” and “crowd,” students solidify their understanding of collective noun usage. The activity supports word classification, vocabulary building, and concept differentiation. It also encourages reasoning and independent learning through active sorting practice.
