Theme Match
Students read five dialogues and match each to the best-fitting theme: freedom, friendship, or change. After identifying and circling the correct theme, learners write an original dialogue that subtly connects to one of the themes without naming it directly. This strengthens understanding of theme development through character interactions. Students practice interpreting underlying messages within dialogue and crafting their own conversations that imply deeper meaning. The activity also supports thematic writing skills needed in narrative composition.
