Erosion Action Sort
This worksheet teaches students how human choices can prevent, control, or fail to affect erosion. Students read ten actions (such as planting grass, removing riverbank vegetation, paving paths, building retaining walls, or contour farming) and classify each as Prevention (P), Control (C), or None (N). This helps learners understand practical strategies that reduce erosion and why some actions worsen it. The sorting format builds decision-making and applied environmental science reasoning. A bonus question asks students to pick one prevention and one control action and explain how each helps, strengthening written explanation. The worksheet connects Earth science to real land-use practices.
