Gas Sorting Activity
Students sort a list of gases into two categories: greenhouse gases and non-greenhouse gases. They evaluate each gas-such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane, nitrogen, oxygen, and CFCs-and determine whether it contributes to atmospheric warming. This task builds classification skills and reinforces understanding of gas properties. By the end, students can clearly distinguish between gases that trap heat and those that do not. The sorting chart encourages accuracy and strengthens foundational climate science knowledge.
