Underline the Intensive
In this worksheet, students read each sentence and underline the intensive pronoun. Intensive pronouns add emphasis to a noun or pronoun but are not grammatically required for the sentence to make sense. Learners practice distinguishing intensive pronouns from reflexive pronouns by identifying whether the sentence would remain meaningful without the emphasized word. This strengthens students’ understanding of sentence structure, emphasis, and grammar patterns. The activity provides repeated exposure to forms such as himself, ourselves, yourself, and themselves. It helps students improve accuracy in identifying grammar features while reinforcing reading comprehension skills.
