Sentence Expansion Task

Students expand each short sentence by adding either a gerund phrase or an infinitive phrase to create more detailed and meaningful sentences. They learn how verb forms contribute to richer writing by expressing purpose, preference, or opinion. This task strengthens students’ ability to revise and elaborate, a key academic skill.
