Demonstrative Check-Up

In this worksheet, students read each sentence and determine whether the demonstrative pronoun is used correctly. They write “Correct” if the pronoun matches the noun’s number and distance, or rewrite the sentence using the proper demonstrative pronoun if it is incorrect. This task strengthens proofreading and editing skills by requiring students to identify and correct errors in usage. Learners deepen their understanding of how demonstratives clarify meaning by indicating proximity and plurality. A challenge extension encourages them to write one correct and one incorrect sentence for a partner to fix, promoting collaboration and mastery.
